While installing the 2.8BSD software, I encountered the
following problems. The fixes listed below appear to
	work on our system.

	1) ~/standalone/bootstrap/M.s

I could not get a kernel with an instruction space
bigger than 56K in size to load, even though we
are running on a 11/70 which has split I/D.
It appears that the last kernel I space mapping register
was getting set to point to the I/O page regardless
of the fact the we were running split I/D.

	2) ~/src/dev/xp.c

I had problems getting reports of disk errors printed
on the system console when we had a bad spot on a disk
pack that we were using. It appears that the recalibrate
function that is issued clears positioning in progress
significantly long before it actually returns the drive
to a device ready state. We are using the Emulex SC70
controller on a CDC9766 drive. Unfortunately, we do not
have any DEC disk drives left so I do not know if the
problem extends to these devices also.
