Help with overlay schemes

This probably isn't the right group for this but.....

I have been working on putting the new version of tcsh on a pdp11/70 running
2.10bsd and I keep running out of text space. I was told an overlay scheme
was needed and I was wondering how to do this. 
Any help would be appreciated, and of course thanks in advance.
