The Unix Heritage Society started originally in 1995 as the PDP-11 Unix Preservation Society (PUPS), and then expanded in 2001 to cover all ancient Unix systems. The grandiose title of 'Society' belies the fact that it is really a mailing list of interested people, plus an extensive archive of Unix systems and other related material.
