INGRES Version 7 won't compile

I am trying to learn INGRES using the INGRES Tutorial.
I was following the instructions in the tutorial, and
it bombed on the command 'ingres demo', with the following 
message:
		INGRES SYSERR:
		initucode: no INGRES
		Illegal Instruction

This is the version of Ingres that I received on the distribution
tape.
I tried recompiling, and got these error messages:
		sccs get SCCS/s.setjmp.s
		Error Code 71
		'install not remade because of errors'

		sccs get SCCS/s.tidtest.c
		Error Code 71
		'install not remade because of errors'

		Undefined:
		_CmOfiles
		Error Code 1

When I checked, the SCCS directory does not exist, neither does
'sccs get'.  

Could someone who has Ingres working send me a copy, or
the fixes for my version.
