Unmatched . error FIXED!!!!

Two days ago, I sent a request for help concerning a Unmatched ". error
when I was trying to read some mail (using the BSD mail interface).
The first reply I got was from Ken Lalonde (cs.toronto.edu)
and he hit the spot!!!
Here is part of what he wrote:

I got rid of my "PAGER" definition, and all seems well...
