Problem with uucico and dialing out

Hi,
 I am having some throughput problems with running uucico on
 the 4.3tahoe on a VAX750. I am also having problems dialing out
 from this VAX which uses an Emulex serial interface board.

 I wonder if anyone else runs into a similar problem
