Security bug is in ESIX, too

In my articles, I've mentioned Everex every time I've mentioned ISC,
because ESIX also has the upage bug.  What is the history of the ESIX
bug?  Have all four versions (A-D) had it?  Was Everex tech support
aware of it, and since when?  I'd hate to see Everex get off scott
free just because ISC was also stupid.
