All this talk about certain OS's not using the write formatting
parameters for certain drives has me wondering if I'm getting everything
I can out of my drive. I think my Wren IV 94171-307 is showing around
286 or 289 cylinders (286mb for Unix, 2mb for Dos). Does this seem right?

The Wren manual talks about formatting the drive with different cluster
sizes to adjust capacity. What is the optimal cluster size for a Unix
system?

I'm interested in hearing from others using this drive (with the Adaptec
1542b) to see how you have them cnfigured (and how much formatted space
you have under unix). (Larry, do you still have your Wrens?)

Thanks,
Bill
