3rd party disks on uVAX2000 ?

If the 3rd party drive conforms to DSA (Digital Storage Architecture), then
The disk should be able to act as a data disk for your VS2000.  The drive
should come with a manual describing the track and sector information.  With
this, you will need to create an entry in /etc/disktab (assuming it's not there
already).  Once this is done, you should be able to newfs(8) a filesystem
on the new disk that will use the extra available space.  You should not
need any special device drivers.  The disk driver in ULTRIX reads the disk's
configuration information off the super block at boot time.
