NAME
hostname - set or print name of current host system
SYNOPSIS
hostname [ -s ] [ nameofhost ]
DESCRIPTION
_H_o_s_t_n_a_m_e prints the name of the current host. The super-
user can set the hostname by supplying an argument; this is
usually done in the network initialization script
/_e_t_c/_n_e_t_s_t_a_r_t , normally run at boot time.
Options:
-s Trims off any domain information from the printed name.
