     hhoossttnnaammee - set or print name of current host system

     hhoossttnnaammee [--ss] [_n_a_m_e_o_f_h_o_s_t]

DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
     HHoossttnnaammee prints the name of the current host.  The super-user can set the
     hostname by supplying an argument; this is usually done in the network
     initialization script /_e_t_c/_n_e_t_s_t_a_r_t, normally run at boot time.

     Options:

     --ss    Trims off any domain information from the printed name.
