MOUNTD(8) 1990 MOUNTD(8) NNAAMMEE mountd - service remote NFS mount requests SSYYNNOOPPSSIISS //ssbbiinn//mmoouunnttdd [ --nn ] [ exportsfile ] DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN _M_o_u_n_t_d is the server for NFS mount requests from other client machines. _M_o_u_n_t_d listens for service requests at the port indicated in the NFS server specification; see ``Net- work File System Protocol Specification, RFC1094''. The --nn option allows non-root mount requests to be served. This should only be specified if there are clients such as PC's, that require it. The eexxppoorrttssffiillee argument specifies an alternate location for the exports file.
