The

utility writes its arguments to standard output,
followed by a <newline> character.
If there are no arguments,
only the <newline> character is written.

The following option is available:

The output is not terminated with a newline.

The argument
.Ar string
defines a string to be written to standard output.

.Nm Echo
utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.

function is expected to be POSIX 1003.2 compatible.
