DOMAINNAME(1) UNIX Programmer's Manual DOMAINNAME(1)

NAME
domainname - set or display name of current domain system

SYNOPSIS
     domainname [ _n_a_m_e_o_f_d_o_m_a_i_n ]

DESCRIPTION
Without an argument, _d_o_m_a_i_n_n_a_m_e displays the name of the
current domain. Only the super-user can set the domainname
by giving an argument; this is usually done in the startup
script /_e_t_c/_r_c._l_o_c_a_l. Currently, domains are only used by
the yellow pages, to refer collectively to a group of hosts.
