NAME
     tanc - compile a tanenbaum microcode source program.

SYNOPSIS
     tanc [ tanfile ]

DESCRIPTION
     _T_a_n_c is the compiler for the Tanenbaum microcode language.
     Input, as described in Tanenbaum's book, may either be from
     the standard input or from _t_a_n_f_i_l_e. Machine readable output
     goes to the file 'tan.out' which can then be interpreted
     using _t_a_n_i(_l).  The information in this file is in binary
     format and is currently not portable across CPU types.
