DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
     FFaassttbboooott and ffaasstthhaalltt are shell scripts which reboot and halt the system
     without checking the file systems.  This is done by creating a file
     _/_f_a_s_t_b_o_o_t, then invoking the reboot program.  The system startup script,
     _/_e_t_c_/_r_c, looks for this file and, if present, skips the normal invocation
     of fsck(8).
