new facility added by Chrism and Ianj 17/8/79 in the list of file dependicies a name may now be replace by archive-name ( module1 module2 .... ) the modify dates of the modules within the archive are used to determine if nay change necessary. also note that rules for making archive-name are followed, but note that if archive is called x.o and an x.s exists (or suffix rule) then x.o will be zapped by x.s a.out !!
