.TH GETPARTS 10.1 UCDS .SH NAME getparts, findparts, ics, pins \- manage parts .SH SYNOPSIS .B getparts .IB file .wx [ .IB pal .p \&... ] .PP .B findparts [ .I file \&... ] .PP .B ics .I ic \&... .PP .B pins .I ic ... .SH DESCRIPTION .I Getparts writes a parts list (chip type and count) on the standard output. The input is either the net list (.wx file) and/or the pal pins file (.p file). The physical `chip type' of a .SM PAL is derived from the output of .BR "lde -W" . .PP .I Findparts reads the output of .I getparts and finds the bin number of each part (or functional equivalent) in the local stockroom. .PP .I Ics searches the stock list to find out which bins hold the magic part(s) requested. "ic" is the name of a chip (like 74F00). .PP .I Pins searches the standard pins file to find the pin names of the ic and its relevant pin numbers. .SH FILES .F /usr/ucds/lib/stock stock list .br .F /usr/ucds/lib/stock .br .F /usr/ucds/lib/lib/pins .SH BUGS The equivalence classes known to .I findparts are fairly crude. .PP .I Ics does an exact match which is not always what you want.
