It was in System V Release 3, thus the confusion.  Sun integrated it
into SunOS 4.0 (IIRC) and then pulled it out around 4.1.something. It
was for sure gone from 4.1.3 and 4.1.4.

...and to this day, even the Linux errno.h carries such gems as EDOTDOT, described as "RFS specific error"...

Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask – what was the original meaning of such errnos as EL2HLT or ENOANO? (And, well, the remaining few dozen of them?) I've figured out a few, but gave up on some.
