Desktop is a OS X box.

NetBSD on everything I can, but i'll admit to that getting harder and harder, esp in the ARM world.

Is plan9 unix-ish enough?

I run plan9 on a raspberry pi at work with Remote Desktop to
win7 for corporate apps. A plan9  mini ITX box for web/mail/file/dns
at home, Osx Mac for photos, and iPads for kids.
