I can almost guarantee that the copy on macOS, Ubuntu, and (multiple)
Gentoo boxen are /not/ compiled from the same source code.
But, that's one of the nice things about UUCP, it's a standard and
things /should/ be interoperable.
I think I'm tilting at something macOS specific.
