Visible Front End-advice?

I'd like to write a visible front end for Bob's emulator, but I'm not 
sure how to go about doing it.   What I'd like is another window that 
shows the state of the emulator--PC, SP, MMR etc.--in real time.

Any suggestions/ideas?
