Does ACSnet (Australian Computer Science Network) count? It ran over leased lines, supporting remote login and file transfer, back around the 70s. Definitely V6, because of the 11/40s at the time. A commercial offshoot was MHSnet, which for all I know is still available. -- Dave (dave:csu40)
