Absolutely that is his name.  I did not dare to ask and suspected
some internal joke or story, given that he was called Bor as in
Bored, and Stein is Stone, and Bernstein is actually the German
word for amber.

 |Debian's package repository seems to agree, calling the original
 |author of qmail Daniel Bernstein.
