I’m really glad they cited the interviews Mike Mahoney, RIP, did with a lot of the principal people in his Oral History Of Unix.  He was my thesis advisor.  I did not finish my thesis, but several times in the last few months (not all about Unix; as LSST construction approaches completion, there’s been some thought about how to make our project documentation useful for future historians of science) I’ve thought “Professor Mahoney would be interested in what I’m doing here.”

I’d recommend raising a glass to his memory.
