Noel,
Ever since a fella sawed through a 6.6kV AC cable next to the factory my dad worked in at the time, apparently using the logic...
if (date = holiday_weekend && nobody_around = TRUE){
cut_cable();
}
...it has been my firm belief that there's always at least one person, somewhere, ready to do what most of us would dismiss as crazy or unnecessary.
I can't remember who started off this thread about cal(1) but I'm very grateful as it has sent me down a rabbit hole of great depth, searching for cal source code and also comparing different versions of cal in terms of behavior. Cool stuff.
