Hi Yufeng,
I will send further details off list because I regularly use each of the
approaches mentioned for capturing images of records.
In summary, I would say that your best fit is probably either a Czur ET24
(equivalent to 300 dpi at 16") for a reading copy or a higher quality
cellphone/dedicated camera on a microphone arm for something you can
off-print if you are willing to spend time in post-processing (cropping,
background levelling, and running OCR).
Both are very quick to capture images, but you would definitely want to
turn off everything but flattening and page splitting with export to png
or tiff on the Czur. There is some loss of fidelity there where I would
still do any color adjustments separately after capturing.
