There is a utilitarian argument here. People use cell phones because
they're useful and convenient. People drive cars because they are the
best way to get around. (Let's put aside the cumulative effect of decades
of public policy that have made it nearly impossible to survive without
one in large parts of the US.) They're the best tool for the job.

I think Alan believes that LLMs like Claude are going to be the best tool
for some jobs; one more tool in the bag. Not an obligation, but a
prediction.
