It was NONSTOP KERNEL (abbreviated NSK) in the ‘90 when Compaq/Digital bought them. Then HP bought them and it was all over.

GUARDIAN was still there as was TACL.

They were porting from MIPS to Alpha and then they were in the process of going to … Itanium (enter obligatory scream).
