I'm sure it was. I was just reporting where it entered the BSD source
stream. I know lots of prior art for ^T for quick status of the current
job. I also have a vague memory of a few different versions of patches
posted to USENET back in the day and I don't know if they are what went
into BSD or not. I've not gone that far down the rabit hole.
