Tektronix terminal and printer on SUN

Our problem is that we have a Tektronix 4211 colour terminal, and 4696
colour printer, which we have been driving from SAS/GRAPH on a VAX running
VMS. (We don't drive the printer directly, we dump the screen plots from
the terminal.) We are about to lose the VAX and depend totally on
networked SUNs. We require a method of driving the 4211 from a SUN, again
using the SAS stats package, and possibly also the PD graph package
grtool. At the moment we are using Sunview under OS 4.0.3 and 3.5, but
hope to upgrade two of our machines to SPARCs in the near future, and run
OS 4.1

Does anybody out there have any experience of having done this or
something similar, or any suggestions as to how it can be done sensibly
and cheaply?  In particular any relevant PD software would be most
welcome.
