FWIW, I noticed that Unix V6 is happier with 7E1 for its console, too; I'm
using a terminal emulator, and was getting garbage from V6 (but had had no
problems with RSX-11).  -- Ian

	Yes, 7e1 is correct - a legacy setting from eons ago.
