'hal' was running AIX on a RS/6000. At least it was when I last used it
sometime in 1992 or so. It was one of the gateways.
'spike', I'm pretty sure, was a Sony NEWS. It was also one of the
gateways IIRC.
Those are the only two I can (kinda) remember.
