i'd like to discourage this sort of use of mathematical symbols 
from Unicode (the capital 'A' in the snipped text was 
MATHEMATICAL MONOSPACE CAPITAL A) as a way of producing 'fancy 
font' output in plain text. This post provides a good overview of
