Thank you. I read about its performance giving faster shell script execution.

I am just about to disappear down the Busybox rabbit hole but that's one for the COFF, I think.

Bourne compatible shell, and so "bash-isms" don't creep into their
scripts - before switching to dash, they were using bash. dash/ash
probably helps with script performance, too.
