[TUHS] Bootstrapping UNIX - how was it done

Hello Ron,

That has been my experience with ed. The more I use it, the more muscle memory kicks in and sometimes I feel like a spectator, watching my own hands achieving stuff with a text file or program I'd not have ever thought I could do.

over.   If I’m forced to use VI, I just run it in “ex” mode.
My employees were always amazed how fast I could edit things with just
plain ed.   You learned regular expressions out of necessity.
